PMC planned the Calm Corner bedroom for rest, access, and visual control. Bed position is fixed for door sightline, window access, and 900 mm minimum clearance on three sides. Wardrobe and circulation routes are separated to remove conflicts between movement and storage use. The layout operates without obstruction and maintains privacy from entry.
Furniture footprint is limited to bed, bedside surfaces, and storage. All elements are dimensioned to allow cleaning access and unobstructed floor area. Window treatment and lighting controls are located at bedside and entry for access without crossing the room. No element serves more than one primary function.
Door swings, wardrobe openings, and bedside clearances were verified against plan before execution. This prevents interference during use and ensures the delivered bedroom matches approved drawings.
Materials are specified for acoustic absorption, light control, and low maintenance. Wall and ceiling finishes are selected for NRC rating and cleanability. Flooring is selected for underfoot noise, slip rating, and abrasion resistance. All textiles and panels were approved by sample before procurement.
PMC detailed wardrobes and storage for capacity, access, and silent operation. Hinges and channels are specified for load, cycle count, and soft close. Internal lighting is low-glare with bedside and entry switching. Each surface has a defined acoustic and maintenance function.
Window systems are specified for blackout and thermal control. Seals and thresholds are detailed to reduce external sound transmission. The room is built to meet specification for light levels, sound levels, and surface performance at handover and after ten years of service.
A bedroom is correct when circulation is clear, storage is adequate, and materials meet acoustic and durability specification. Specification determines finish. There is no variance between drawing and site.
PMC Design Standards
Electrical, lighting, and HVAC points are located for access from bed and entry. Bedside service points include switching, USB, and data as specified. Lighting circuits are zoned for task, ambient, and night use with documented lux levels. All conduits and boxes are located before civil closure.
Wardrobe internals are dimensioned for hanging, folding, and accessories as specified by the client. Shelves, drawers, and rails are installed with documented load limits. Finishes are applied under controlled conditions with documented thickness and curing time.
PMC fixed all service routes before concealment. All services were tested and photographed before closure. PMC managed site execution under a checked schedule with hold points for inspection. The bedroom was delivered to match the approved material schedule and drawings with zero deviation.
