Warranty Policy
Scope and Application
This Warranty Policy applies to materials and workmanship supplied and installed by PMC under a
signed project agreement.
Coverage, duration, and conditions are stated in the project agreement, invoice, or warranty
certificate.
In case of conflict, the project agreement prevails.
Coverage
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and defects in workmanship that arise under
normal indoor use.
Coverage is limited to items designed, supplied, and installed by PMC.
Warranty periods vary by material and component and are specified in writing.
- Carpentry and joinery: as stated in project agreement
- Specified plywood: up to 5 years against termite and borer under normal indoor conditions
- Hardware and accessories: covered by manufacturer warranty where applicable
Conditions Precedent
- Warranty is valid only after full payment of all dues under the project agreement
- A valid invoice or warranty certificate and project agreement are required to register a claim
- Products must be used and maintained as per care instructions provided at handover
Claim Process
- Claims must be submitted in writing with invoice number, description of defect, and photographs
- PMC will inspect the item to determine cause and coverage
- Determination of repair or replacement is at PMC discretion
- Access to the site for inspection and rectification must be provided within 7 days of request
Remedy
- Repair is the primary remedy where feasible
- Replacement will be provided if repair is not feasible, using materials of similar grade and
specification
- Replaced materials may vary in grain, shade, or finish due to batch or natural variation
- Warranty on repaired or replaced items continues for the balance of the original warranty period
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage from misuse, abuse, impact, or unauthorized modification
- Damage from water ingress, humidity, heat, or outdoor exposure outside specified use
- Normal wear and tear, surface scratches, dents, stains, or fading
- Colour or grain variation in natural materials including wood, veneer, and stone
- Hardware adjustments, consumables, and parts subject to routine maintenance
- Glass, mirrors, stone, solid surfaces, lights, appliances, and third-party fittings unless
expressly warranted by PMC in writing
- Defects in civil, electrical, or plumbing work not executed by PMC
- Damage from pests other than termite and borer where specifically covered
- Damage from fire, flood, structural movement, or other external causes
- Products relocated, dismantled, or reinstalled by others
Third-Party Items
- Items not supplied by PMC are covered by manufacturer warranties only
- PMC will provide available manufacturer documents on request
- PMC is not liable for performance or defects of third-party items
Service Terms
- Warranty service is provided for valid claims within coverage
- Site visit, dismantling, transportation, and reinstallation may be chargeable if the defect is
outside warranty
- Service timelines depend on inspection findings and material availability
Limitation of Liability
Liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective item.
PMC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including loss of use, loss of
business, or accommodation costs.
Total liability under this warranty will not exceed the invoice value of the defective item.
Transfer
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original contracting party named in the
project agreement.
Force Majeure
PMC is not liable for delay or failure to perform warranty service due to events beyond reasonable
control, including natural disaster, supply chain disruption, labour action, or regulatory
restriction.
Amendments
PMC may revise this Warranty Policy.
The version in effect at the date of project agreement applies to that project.
